Joining us at mama social on Friday 14th October is Rachel Medina, the local coordinator for the Sheffield charity, the Snowdrop Project. A charity which works to empower survivors of human trafficking to live independently in the community.
Rachel helped to start the charity, while starting a family. She is going to come and talk to the group about how she juggled motherhood with the pressures of setting up a charity.
Rachel will also being telling us about how and why the charity was started and the incredible work they do to support the survivors of human trafficking. ”The Snowdrop Project is named thus because, as the first flower of spring, the Snowdrop must overcome the harsh, cold realities of winter in order to bloom.”
