Deborah Moon will be coming down to our Mama Social meet to talk about how she came to setting up her inspiring business; Moonko.
Deborah and her husband Matt, first opened their beautiful shop, situated on Division Street in Sheffield, in 2013. It is a haven of skillfully curated jewellery, clothing, prints and homewares made by talented craftspeople from Sheffield and beyond. It was set up with the aim of showcasing, encouraging, selling and promoting creative talent both nationally and internationally.
All products are handmade to the highest quality & style, many of the products that Moonko stock are made in the UK by experienced and emerging designers including Donna Wilson, Bonbi Forest & Block. Some of the makers are just starting out with their business or are still at university and Moonko’s ambition is to provide support and encouragement as well as a space to exhibit their work.
Deborah is a skilled artist herself and stocks her own range of individual and stunning ceramics (shown above). You can view more of her work via the shops Instagram account HERE
We’re really looking forward to hearing all about how Deborah has built the business into Sheffield’s go to shop for unique gift and homewares. She will be at our meet on April 8th at The Showroom at from 10:30, definitely a date for our diary!
