The University of Sheffield’s School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) are currently looking for parents or caregivers of children ages 2 to 3 years to take party in a study to find out more about eating habits in young children.

The study will be conducted over a three-week period in your home. Each week the researchers will ask you to complete a four day weighed food diary.

During the first week of the study they will ask you to make no alterations to the way you feed your child.

In the second and third week they will provide you with a selection of snacks to give to your child at their usual snack time.

By taking part in this research you will contribute to their understanding of eating behaviour and dietary intake in preschool children.

You will be provided with all snacks for your child for two weeks and offered a £25 high street voucher for taking part. They will also provide you with the nutritional analysis and breakdown of what your child has eaten from the weighed food diaries.

This project has been ethically approved by the School of Health and Related Research ethics review panel (007850).

If you are interested in taking part or want to know more about the study, then please get in touch with Colette Kearney at c.kearney@sheffield.ac.uk or call 07712410932.
