Preparing to go back to work after maternity leave? Returning from an extended career break having raised your family and unsure how to get back into work mode? At a loss as to how to balance work and family life?

We have the answers!!!

On October Tuesday 24th we’re collaborating with Lindsay Snow (Understanding Kids) and Jennifer McCanna (leadership coach) to bring you an interactive evening designed to help you gain confidence in your abilities, recognize important transferable skills you’ve gained through motherhood and give you the confidence to transition to work with ease.

We’ll spend some time working through strategies for approaching your employer about flexible working and will ask the question ‘what do you
really want to get out of work?

The second element of the evening will focus on family life and how you can support your children on a practical and emotional level as you return to work. We’ll also be providing tips on how to keep the mum-guilt in check.

Both Lindsay and Jennifer are specialists in their fields.
Jennifer is talented and insightful leadership coach who works with clients to help them be as effective as they can be. She also works with career coaching clients who often seek her out because they are stuck and want anything from a complete career change to simply some help preparing for an interview. She has a particular interest in supporting women in leadership and as the mother of a 3-year-old and a 1 year old, she understands the juggle!

Lindsay is a highly regarded parenting coach who uses evidence-based research to enable parents to tackle their parenting challenges with confidence and compassion. She runs a wide range of workshops under her own company ‘Understanding Kids’ and helps parents enjoy relaxed and positive relationships with their children.

The evening will take place in the beautiful, relaxed surroundings of Daisy’s Bar (above the Great Gatsby) from 8-10.30pm.  Tickets are limited and priced at £10 you can book your place HERE

We look forward to seeing you!

Due to the success of our recent day trip to Whirlow Hall Farm we’ve decided to host another outdoor event on 9th June, a picnic and play morning at Endcliffe Park.  Its a free event so spread the word and we look forward to seeing some new faces as well as our regulars there.

On June 23rd we have Annika Carney, a qualified midwife who also runs ‘Baby Bears Infant Massage’ which provides baby massage courses and is based on Sharrowvale Road.
