On June 23rd we have Annika Carney, a qualified midwife who also runs ‘Baby Bears Infant Massage’ which provides baby massage courses and is based on Sharrowvale Road.
Annika will not only be talking about the benefits of infant massage she’s also planning on running a demonstration and you’ll leave with knowledge of a few basic massage strokes.

EVENING EVENT // Mama Social X Sew in The City

We’ve teamed up with Kerrie at Sew in the City to bring you a blissful evening of embroidery in the cosy setting of the Sew in The City workshops.

Kerrie recently took over the business, based in West Bar, and has already made the space into an interesting, welcoming, creative craft hub.

We’ve worked with Kerrie to tailor this workshop exclusively for Mama Social and we’ll be creating our own stunning designs.

Embroidery is everywhere this spring/ summer and this is an opportunity to learn the basics so you can expand your skills to embellish clothing, table runners or create personalised items.

You will learn the basic techniques for transferring an image onto fabric and basic embroidery stitches such as chain stitch, satin stitch and French knots.

Once you’ve practiced, you will be given a choice of images to embroider and taught how to frame and finish it in a small embroidery hoop.

Come and relax and unwind with great company, fizz and nibbles on Tuesday 27th June and learn a new craft. Who knows, it could be your hidden talent!

Tickets are limited, to book your place on the evening please CLICK HERE
